IOSA is about doing things. In the past years we have been developing a number of projects, either with software development or collecting and testing best practices for open digital archaeology.
Software projects
- Total Open Station is a tool for downloading and processing survey data from total stations, on any operating system
- IOSACal is the IOSA library for radiocarbon calibration
- TIPOM is our most recent effort, an archaeological journey in archaeological software
Other projects
- Quantitative Archaeology Wiki is a place for collaborative writing of documentation about quantitative methods in archaeology, statistics
- ICCD is an effort to collect templates and scripts that are meant to be compatible with ICCD directives, Italy’s standards for cataloguing of cultural heritage items
